بسم الله، والحمد لله، والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ومن والاه..
يفرض الحديثُ عن الوحدة الإسلامية نفسَه هذه الأيام إزاءَ ما يشهده عالمُنا ومنطقتُنا من تطورات! فضعف واقعنا، وتردِّي أحوالنا يستوجب البحث عن أسباب القوة وعوامل النهوض، وفي مقدمتها تحقيق وحدتنا، ورصُّ صفوفنا، وضمُّ جهودنا..
وقرب اجتماع مؤتمر القمة العربية القادم في تونس يجدد الأمل في إمكان السير- ولو بقدر- نحو تضامن عربي أو وحدة عربية، أصبحَ لا محيصَ عنها للخروج من النفق المظلم الكئيب، الذي وضعَنا فيه تخاذلًُ أولي الأمر منا، الذين طالما صمُّوا آذانهم عن نداء شعوبهم، وأشواق أمتهم، وضرورة واقعهم بضم شتات الأمة في وحدة جامعة.
توسيع الاتحاد الأوروبي
غير أن أقوى ما يثير في النفس الحديث عن الوحدة الإسلامية هو ما قرره الاتحاد الأوروبي من توسيع نطاق عضويته ليضم إليه عشر دول جديدة من وسط وشرق القارة الأوروبية؛ ليصبح اتحادًا عملاقًا يضم خمسًا وعشرين دولةً، وهي خطوة جديرة بالنظر والتأمل من قوم أقوياء يبحثون عن تعزيز قوتهم في عالم لا يحترم إلا منطق القوة، ولا يقيم وزنًا للضعفاء والمستضعفين الذين لا يحسنون غير التشكي والألم!
ولقد كانت تلك الدول- منذ عقود يسيرة من الزمن- تنقسم فيما بينها أشد الانقسام، وتتحارب حرب إفناء، وتتوارث الضغائن والإحن.. ألم تشهد أوربا في القرن الماضي حربين عالميتين تركتا كثيرًا من دولها خرابًا، ومن مواطنيها قتلى ومصابين، وخلفت ذكريات مريرة من العداء!ثم انقسمت بعد ذلك إلى فريقين متعاديين: رأسماليين وشيوعيين، ثم هاهي ذي اليوم تتناسى ذلك كله، وتجتمع في صعيد واحد على اختلاف نظمها وأعراقها وتبايُن قوى اقتصادها، فما أنِفَت دولها الغنية من ضمِّ دولها الفقيرة؛ بل هي تمد لها يد العون حتى تعلو جميعها معًا!
وهو اتحاد يحتفظ مع ذلك بنقائه الديني ما استطاع، بعدما خدعتنا دولُه طويلاً بأنها علمانيةٌ، لا شأن لها بالدين، فلا يضمُّ إليه حتى الآن إلا دولاً مسيحيةً، وقد أبى أن تدخل فيه تركيا المسلمة، وآثَر ضمَّ دولة القبارصة اليونانيين، ونفى عنه القبارصة الأتراك المسلمين، رغم رفض الأولين مشروع الأمم المتحدة لتوحيد شطري الجزيرة، واستهانتهم بتهديدات دول أوروبا إن لم يقبلوه، في حين قبله المسلمون، فما نالوا من أوروبا بغيتهم!
لقد ذابت عصبيات الشعوب التي تنتمي إلى أصول سلافية وجرمانية ولاتينية ويونانية لتكوِّن اتحادًا واحدًا، وتناسَى الألمان والفرنسيون والإنجليز سنوات الصراع بينهم، ودخلت بولندة والمجَر وإستونيا ولاتفيا الشيوعية سابقًا في أحضان الدول الرأسمالية العتيقة دون حرج أو تأفُّف، وأصبح المواطن الأوروبي يجوب دول الاتحاد من شرقها إلى غربها بجواز سفر أوروبي واحد.
وفي ذلك الدرس المبين لأمتنا العربية والإسلامية، أمة القرآن الواحد، والإله الواحد، والتاريخ الواحد، والمصير الواحد.. تلك الأمة التي لا تعرف دولها صراعًا عرقيًّا أو مذهبيًّا يحول دون وحدتها؛ لكنَّها ابتُليت باستبداد سياسي وَخِيم، وقصور نظر وأنانية ضيقة لدى نظُمها الحاكمة المتسلطة التي تعلو لدى أصحابها قيمة كرسي الحكم على مستقبل الأمة، مع أن ما يحيطها من خطر لن يُبقِي كراسيَ ولا محكومين.
وحدتنا الإسلامية
إن السمة الأبرز لهذه الأمة الإسلامية هي أنها أمة التوحيد والوحدة، ومن الواضح عبْر مسيرة التاريخ أن هذه الأمة لا تصل إلى الوحدة الحقيقية إلا من خلال استمساكها بعقيدة التوحيد الحقِّ، وبقدر تفريطها في عقيدتها تصيبُها آفة التفرق والاحتراق الداخلي، ويربط القرآن الكريم بين التوحيد والوحدة في نصوص واضحة، منها قوله تعالى: ﴿إِنَّ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ﴾ (الأنبياء: 92)، ﴿وَإِنَّ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ﴾ (المؤمنون: 52).
ويسعى القرآن الكريم دائمًا إلى تذكير المسلمين بحقيقة أنهم أمة واحدة: ﴿وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللهِ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُوا وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنْتُمْ أَعْدَاءً فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُمْ بِنِعْمَتِهِ إِخْوَانًا وَكُنْتُمْ عَلَى شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِّنَ النَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُمْ مِّنْهَا كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ﴾ (آل عمران: 103)، وينهَى أشد النهي عن التفرق والاختلاف.. ﴿وَلاَ تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ تَفَرَّقُوا وَاخْتَلَفُوا مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ وَأُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ﴾ (آل عمران: 105).
وقال تعالى ناعيًا على أهل الأهواء تفرقَهم بكفرهم، محذرًا من سلوك سبيلهم: ﴿إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى اللهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ﴾ (الأنعام: 159)، وقال تعالى: ﴿وَلاَ تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ* مِنَ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ﴾ (الروم: 31- 32).
فالتفريق بين المؤمنين سبيل الشيطان: ﴿إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ فِي الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ اللهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فَهَلْ أَنْتُم مُّنتَهُونَ﴾ (المائدة: 91)، وهو سبيل أعداء الأمة المتربصين بها من الداخل والخارج، فمِن الداخل يجتهد المنافقون في إثارة العَداء والفرقة بين المؤمنين حتى لو كان ذلك من خلال لافتات برَّاقة خدَّاعة تشقُّ الصفوف، وتوقِع الفساد فيها.. ﴿وَالَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مَسْجِدًا ضِرَارًا وَكُفْرًا وَتَفْرِيقًا بَيْنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِرْصَادًا لِّمَنْ حَارَبَ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَيَحْلِفُنَّ إِنْ أَرَدْنَا إِلاَّ الْحُسْنَى وَاللهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ﴾ (التوبة: 107)، وإثارة الفرقة هو سبيل الفراعنة المتجبِّرين، الذين يخشَون وحدة أهل الحق وجند الإيمان، ويرون عزَّهم في إذلال المؤمنين وفرقتهم: ﴿إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلاَ فِي الأَرْضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهْلَهَا شِيَعًا يَسْتَضْعِفُ طَائِفَةً مِّنْهُمْ يُذَبِّحُ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيِي نِسَاءَهُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ﴾ (القصص: 4)، أما الكافرون فمنذ القدم كان شعارهم مع المؤمنين "فرق تسُد"، وما استطاعوا أن ينالوا من المؤمنين إلا بتفرُّقهم وضرب بعضهم ببعض.
تعميق الإسلام للأخوَّة
رسخ الإسلام هذه الأخوَّة من خلال تشريعاته وأخلاقه ومعاملاته، فجاءت أركان الإسلام الخمسة جميعًا تكرس معنى الوحدة الإسلامية والأُخوَّة الإيمانية.. والمسلمون جميعًا على امتداد الأرض يخضعون لتشريع إلهي واحد، يجمع بينهم: ﴿فَلاَ وَرَبِّكَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّى يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجِدُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِّمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا﴾ (النساء: 65)، ويفترض الإسلام انقياد المسلمين جميعًا لمنهج سياسي واحد، وفرَض عليهم طاعة أولي الأمر منهم: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الأمْرِ مِنْكُمْ مِنْكُمْ﴾ (النساء: 59)، ويأمر أتباعه أن ينهضوا جميعًا لصد أعدائهم، ويعدُّ الجهاد فرض عين إذا اعتُدي على أي أرض مسلمة: ﴿وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ﴾ (التوبة: 36)، ﴿وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لاَ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ للهِ فَإِنِ انْتَهَوا فَلاَ عُدْوَانَ إِلاَّ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ﴾ (البقرة: 193).
ونصرة المستضعفين من المؤمنين فريضةٌ ما أمكن ذلك: ﴿وَمَا لَكُمْ لاَ تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنْكَ نَصِيرًا﴾ (النساء: 75)، وذلك استشعارًا بمبدأ الأخوَّة الإسلامية التي تسعى إلى إعزاز المسلمين جميعًا ورفع الضَّيم عنهم: ﴿وَللهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَكِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ﴾ (المنافقون: 8).
ووضع الإسلام قواعد أخلاقية إيمانية لدعم الأُخوَّة الإيمانية، وحمايتها من كلِّ ما يعكِّر صفوَها، ويُعرقل سبيل عملها، فأمر بالتعاون على البرِّ والتقوى، وتركِ الإثم والعدوان، وقال- صلى الله عليه وسلم-: "مثل المؤمنين في توادهم وتراحمهم وتعاطفهم كمثل الجسد.. إذا اشتكى منه عضو تداعى له سائر الجسد بالحمى والسهر"، وأمر الإسلام بالإصلاح بين المؤمنين حين يتناوشهم الشيطان، ويوقِع بينهم العداوة: ﴿إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَاتَّقُوا اللهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ﴾ (الحجرات: 10)، وأقرَّ للمسلم في عنُق أخيه حقوقًا: "المسلم أخو المسلم، لا يظلمه ولا يسلمه، من كان في حاجة أخيه كان الله في حاجته، ومن فرج عن مسلم كربة فرج الله عنه كربةً من كُرب يوم القيامة، ومن ستر مسلمًا ستره الله يوم القيامة".
وقال- صلى الله عليه وسلم-: "حق المسلم على المسلم خمس: رد السلام، وعيادة المريض، واتباع الجنائز، وإجابة الدعوة، وتشميت العاطس".
ومن أجل الأخوَّة الإسلامية نهى الإسلام عن كل ما يسيء إليها.. قال- صلى الله عليه وسلم-: "لا تحاسدوا، ولا تناجشوا، ولا تباغضوا، ولا تدابروا، ولا يبع بعضكم على بيع بعض، وكونوا عباد الله إخوانًا، بحسب امرئٍ مسلم من الشر أن يحقر أخاه المسلم، كل المسلم على المسلم حرام.. دمه، وماله، وعرضه"، فإن ظهر بين المسلمين تظالم وبغي كانت الأمة كلها مطالَبةً برده والتصدي له من خلال تشريع الإسلام الخالد بالأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر: ﴿وَلْتَكُن مِّنْكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ﴾ (آل عمران: 104)، وقيام الأمة المسلمة بتلك الفريضة هو سرُّ خيريتها وأفضليتها: ﴿كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللهِ﴾ (آل عمران: 110).
الأخوَّة شرط النصر والتمكين
إن تحقيق الأخوَّة بين المسلمين شرط لتحقيق النصر على أعدائهم: ﴿إِنَّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ الَّذِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ صَفًّا كَأَنَّهُمْ بُنْيَانٌ مَّرْصُوصٌ﴾ (الصف: 4)، فإن فُقدت من معسكر الإيمان، أو تراجعت وضعُفت، حلَّت بهم الهزيمة: ﴿وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللهُ وَعْدَهُ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُمْ بِإِذْنِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الأمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا أَرَاكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَ مِنْكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنْكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الآَخِرَةَ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنْكُمْ وَاللهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴾ (آل عمران: 152).
درس التاريخ
لما كان المسلمون أمةً واحدةً، سادوا الدنيا بالعدل قرونًا من الزمان، ومن يراجع حالات الانتصار الإسلامي سيجدها جميعًا رهينةً بتحقق وحدة هذه الأمة؛ سواء في غزوات الرسول- صلى الله عليه وسلم- وفتوحات المسلمين التي شملت معظم أرجاء العالم المعروف آنذاك، أو في رد فعل المسلمين على هجوم أعدائهم في حالات ضعفهم الطارئ عليهم، كما حدث في استعادة القدس من الصليبيين، ثم طردهم من بلاد الإسلام، وكما حدث في مواجهة التتار، وكسر موجة طغيانهم التي هددت الحضارة الإنسانية بأسرها.. فلما ضعف توحيد الأمة ضعفت وحدتها، وتكالبت عليها قوى الأرض.
وقد فطن أعداؤنا إلى أن سرَّ قوة المسلمين في توحدهم ووحدتهم، فأضعَفوا التزامَهم بدينهم، وزيَّنوا لهم شهوات الأرض، ثم ضربوا وحدتهم السياسية التي ظلت سياجًا للأمة الإسلامية حتى منتصف القرن الثالث عشر الهجري، الثامن عشر الميلادي، حين استشرى الاستعمار الغربي لبلادنا، واستفحل الغزو الفكري، وتمت تنشئة أجيال من المسلمين على عين الغرب، جعلوهم صفوةَ مجتمعاتنا وروادَ نهضتنا، وهم في الحقيقة سرُّ نكبتنا، ورسل الغزاة فينا، وبدل الوحدة الإسلامية العامة تمَّ الترويج للوطنية الضيقة والقوميات العمياء، وجعلوا من هذه وتلك عدوًّا للفكرة الإسلامية، لا سبيلاً إليها.
الوحدة هي الرد على محاولات الإذلال
إن الحديث عن الوحدة الإسلامية ليس حديثًا فكريًّا باردًا، ولا ينبغي أن يكون.. إنه حديث عن أصل من أصول التصور الإسلامي، لا يكون تصورنا للإسلام صحيحًا إلا به، وهو حديث عن ضرورة واقعية لا محيص عنها لتغيير واقعنا نحو الأفضل.
إن ما يتعرَّض له المسلمون في شتى بقاع الأرض من عدوان وعنت وتآمُر وكيد لا سبيل لمواجهته إلا بالوحدة، وما كان ذلك العدوان ليحدث لو كان المسلمون أمةً واحدةً.. مَنْ للمسلمين في بورما والفلبين وأفغانستان والشيشان ونيجيريا والسودان؟! ومَنْ لجرحنا الدامي في فلسطين والعراق؟! مَنْ لهم في ظل غياب وحدتنا وضياع هيبتنا؟!
لقد دَمِيت قلوبنا وشعورنا بالخزي جميعًا، ونحن نرى أعراضنا تُنتهك على يد الأمريكان والإنجليز في سجون العراق، ورجالنا عراة تسخر منهم فتيات المحتل وصبيته المرتزقة المأجورون، وقادتهم الحاقدون، مع صمت عربي مريب، فلم نجد حاكمًا من حكامنا ثارَ لكرامة أبناء أمته، حتى الإدانة والشجب خرست دونها الألسنةُ! وكيف يدينون ويشجبون وهم يرتكبون ما هو أخزَى في سجونهم مع معارضيهم ومخالفيهم؟ وحسبنا الله نعم الوكيل!
﴿وَاللهُ غَالِبٌ عَلَى أَمْرِهِ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ﴾ (يوسف: 21) ﴿هَذَا بَلاَغٌ لِّلنَّاسِ وَلِيُنذَرُوا بِهِ وَلِيَعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَلِيَذَّكَّرَ أُولُو الألْبَابِ﴾ (إبراهيم: 52)
Islamic Unity… an Obligation and a Necessity

In the name of Allah… praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be on the Messenger of Allah and those who follow Him
Nowadays- with the happenings our world and our region are witnessing- the talk about achieving Islamic Unity imposes itself.
Our weaknesses as well as the deterioration of our conditions urge us to afford the ways of attaining power and factors of renaissance, topped by achieving our Islamic Unity, closing ranks and gathering our efforts.
The next conference of the Arab League summit- to be held so soon in Tunis- is a little step in the way towards achieving Arab Union, to get out of the dark tunnel, and to save ourselves from what the defeatism of our Arab rulers put us in;
the Arab rulers always ignored the necessity of the status quo and their peoples" calls and aspirations to gather the entire Ummah in one Union
Expanding the European Union
What prompt us to talk about the Islamic Unity is the decision of the European Union to include another ten Mid and East European countries taking the number of the Union to twenty five countries, it"s a step worth consideration: powerful countries aspire to reinforce their power in a world which respects nothing but the language of force and doesn"t give any weight to those who profess nothing but complaining and suffering. A few decades ago, those countries were divided and were fighting each other in an annihilating war
Europe witnessed during the past century two world wars with consequences of ruining many countries involved, and many deaths and injuries, with all their bitter memories of hatred; after that, Europe was divided into two conflicting parties; Now all Europe, forgetting all this enmity and hatred, assemble, with the differences of races and regimes and of economic power, in one union; the European countries didn"t refuse to include the European poor ones in the union;
instead, they supported them so that all European countries rise. Add to this, although these countries deceived us for a long time that they are secular countries and have nothing to do with religion, the Union preserves its religious purity: it refused to include Turkey- the Muslim country- and the Muslim Turkish Cyprus;
instead the European Union included the Greek Cyprus though they refused the UN resolution to unite the two parts of the Island, belittling the European countries" threats if they didn"t accept it, while the Muslims who accepted the UN resolution were not accepted in the European Union
The Slavic, Germanic, Latin and Greek races melted into one Union; the Germans, the French and the English forgot the years of wars; the ex-Communist countries- Boland, Hungary, Estonia and Latvia united with the European Capitalist countries.
The European citizen has become able to tour the EU countries with the same passport
This a clear lesson to learn for our Arab and Muslim countries which believe in one God and one Koran, and has the same history and the same destiny and which shunned ethnic conflicts throughout history.
However, our Ummah has recently sustained gross political despotism, short-sightedness, and selfishness on the part of its tyrant regimes who consider their stay in power of paramount importance, at the expense of our Ummah"s future, although the goings-on will surely have their impact on both the rulers and the ruled
Our Islamic Unity
The most outstanding feature of this Ummah is that it is the Ummah of Unity and monotheism. Throughout history, this Ummah hasn"t reached genuine unity except through adhering to the true monotheism; the more our Ummah deviates from its beliefs, the more it is afflicted with disintegration and schism. The Holy Koran associates monotheism to unity in many clear texts:"Verily this Ummah of yours is a single Ummah and I am your Lord and chericher: therefore serve me (and no other)"Holy Koran.S.21.92. and " and verily this Ummah of yours is a single Ummah and I am your Lord and Chericher fear me (and no other)"Holy Koran.S.23.52
The Holy Koran has always reminded Muslims of the fact that they are one nation:"And hold fast, all together, by the Rope which Allah ( streches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah"s favour on you; for you were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, you become brethren; and you were on the brink of the Pit of Fire, and He saved you from it.
Thus does Allah make His signs clear to you: that you may be guided" Holy Koran.S.3.103.
and Allah prohibits disintegration and schism :"Be not like those who are divided among themselves and fall into disputations after receiving Clear Signs: for them is a dreadful chastisement"Holy Koran.S.3.105. And He- Most High- said criticizing the disintegration of the people of whims because of their disbelief and warning people of following them: " As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, you have no part in them in the least: their affair is with Allah : He will in the end tell them the truth of that they did" Holy Koran.S.6.169.And He said: "And be you not among those who join gods with Allah.
Those who split up their Religion and become (mere) sects,- each party rejoicing in that which is with itself" Holy Koran.S.30.31,32
Playing believers off against each other is one of Satan"s plans: "Satan"s plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicant and gambling, and hinder you from remembrance of Allah and from prayer: will you not then abstain?"Holy Koran.S.5.91. this satanic plan is schemed by the enemies of the Ummah from inside and outside; from the inside, the fifth column strive to excite enmity and hatred among believers through deceitful and hollow slogans which break ranks:"And ther are those who put up a mosque by way of mischief and enmity- to disunite the Believers- and in preparation for one who warred against Allah and His Messenger aforetime. They will indeed swear that their intentionis nothing" Holy Koran.S.9.107
Breaking ranks is the way of pharaoh-like tyrants who fear the unity of the righteous people and they relish humiliating the believers: "Truly Pharaoh elated himself in the land and divided its people into sections, depressing a group among them: their sons he slew, but he kept alive their females: for he was indeed an evil-doer" Holy Koran.S.28.4. As for the disbelievers, their way with the believers is "Divide and Rule"; but they only managed to defeat the Muslims when the latter were disunited and divided
Islam deepens brotherhood
Islam has inculcated this brotherhood (into its followers) through its doctrines, with the pillars of Islam consolidating the notion of Islamic Unity and brotherhood. All Muslims on earth submit to one divine legislation which unites them: "But no by your Lord, they can have no (real) Faith. Until they make you judge in all disputes between them. And find in their souls no resistance against your decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction" Holy Koran.S.4.65.
In Islam –it is taken for granted that Muslims are ruled by a unified political system, since Allah ordained them to obey those in power: "Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger and those charged with authority among you" Holy Koran.S.4.59.Islam ordains its followers to stand up against their enemies, considering Jihad a duty on every Muslim if any Muslim land is usurped: "And fight the Pagans all together as they fight you all together" Holy Koran.S.9.36. and: "And fight them on until there is no more persecution and the religion becomes Allah"s. But if they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression" Holy Koran.S.2.193
Lending help to the downtrodden Muslims is a duty on those who can: "And why should you not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- men, women and children, whose cry is:" Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from you one who will protect; and raise for us from you one who will help" Holy Koran.S.4.75. This can come true through Islamic brotherhood which could bring Muslims pride and dignity, and saves them from tyranny: But honor belongs to Allah and His Messenger, and to the Believers" Holy Koran.S.63.8
Islam laid down rules of faith and morality in a way which bolsters brotherhood protects from what may trouble or obstruct it.
For these rules to materialize, Islam ordained that Muslims cooperate only for charity and piety and shunning evil and aggression.
Our prophet (Peace and God"s prayers be upon him) said: "The Believers, in their affection, mercy and sympathy towards each other, are like the body- if one of its organs suffers and complains, the entire body responds with insomnia and fever.
" Islam ordains that reconciliation should be made between the believers lest Satan drive a wedge between them: "The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy." Holy Koran.49.10. According to Islam, a Muslim has a duty towards his fellow Muslims Our prophet (Peace and God"s prayers be upon him) said:" "Every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim. He does not oppress him nor surrender him.
Whoever occupies himself with his brother"s needs, Allah occupies himself with his needs. Whoever
relieves a Muslim of some hardship, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of Qiyama. And whoever conceals the fault of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults on Qiyama.
"and the prophet said: "A believer owes another believer five rights: responding to greetings, visiting him in illness, following his funeral, accepting his invitation, and saying `Yarhamuk-Allah (May Allah have mercy on you)," when he says `Al-hamdu lillah (Praise be to Allah)" after sneezing
To protect Islamic brotherhood, Islam prohibits all that troubles it The Prophet Muhammad (Peace BeUpon Him) said: " Do not envy one another, and do not inflate prices for one another, and do not hate one another, and do not turn away from one another, and do not undercut one another in trade, but [rather] be slaves of Allah and brothers [amongst yourselves].
A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim: he does not oppress him, nor does he fail him, nor does he lie to him, nor does he hold him in contempt.
Taqwa [piety] is right here [and he pointed to his chest three times].
It is evil enough for a man to hold his brother Muslim in contempt. The whole of a Muslim is inviolable for another Muslim: his blood, his property, and his honour.
” If there appears injustice among Muslims, the entire Ummah is ordained to stand up against it through the principles of enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong: Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right,and forbidding what is wrong: they are the ones to attain felicity" Holy Koran.S.3.104. Doing this principle is the secret behind the mastery of the Islamic Ummah: "You are the best of people, evolved for mankind.
Enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah" Holy Koran.S.3.110
Brotherhood is a condition for victory and mastery
Realizing brotherhood among Muslims is a condition for victory: "Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure" Holy Koran.S.61.4. If brotherhood were lost or declined, defeat follows: "Allah did indeed fulfill His promise to you when we with his permission were about to annihilate your enemy,-until you flinched and fell to disputing about the order and disobeyed it after He brought you in sight(of the Victory) which you covet.
Among you are some that hanker after this world and
some that desire the Hereafter. Then did He divert you from your foes in order to test you. But He forgave you: for Allah is full of grace to those who believe" Holy Koran.S.3.152
A Lesson from History
When Muslims were a unified Ummah, they ruled over the world with justice for centuries. Anyone who follows up the period of Islamic expansion, one will find all the victories associated with the unity of the Ummah , either in the prophet"s battles or the Muslims" conquests after him or in the Muslims" reactions against the enemies" attacks which temporarily took place in time of their decline as were the cases with the Crusades and Moguls wars
When monotheism of the Ummah declined, the same happened to its unity and all the powers on earth scrambled to occupy its lands.
Our enemies realized that the Muslims" power lies in their monotheism and unity, so, they sought to weaken their adherence to their religion and they have lured them into vice, then, they destroyed their political unity which was once the fence of the Muslim Ummah till mid thirteenth century.
h/the eighteenth century.g when the Western military and cultural invasion mushroomed throughout the lands of our Ummah. As a result generations of the Ummah were raised under the eyes of the West.
Consequently, voices appeared calling for limited and blind nationalism, picturing it as enemy to Islamism
Unity is the right response to attempts of humiliation
Talking about the Islamic Unity is not a mere theoretical talk, nor must not it be. Rather, it is talking about constants of the Islamic concepts without which our Islam can not be accepted. It is a necessity for the better
All that Muslims suffer now can not be faced except with unity.
And this humiliating status quo wouldn"t have happened if Muslims had been one Ummah.
Who will help Muslims in Burma, the Philippines, Afghanistan, Chechen, Nigeria, and the Sudan? And who will help stop bloodshed in Palestine and Iraq in the absence of our unity and prestige? Now we feel broken hearted and ashamed when we see our honor is desecrated at the hands of the Americans and the British in the Iraqi prisons and our naked men are laughed at by the occupation"s harlots and mercenaries, and leaders, amidst a suspicious Arab silence.
We haven"t seen any Arab or Muslim ruler avenge our dignity; even condemnation has disappeared.
How can they condemn these heinous crimes while they themselves commit what is worse than that against their adversaries and oppositionists.
For us, Allah suffice, and He is the best Guardian: "And Allah has full control over his affairs but most among mankind know it not" Holy Koran.S.12.21. And: "Here is a message for mankind: that they may take warning therefrom, and may know that He is One Allah: let men of understanding take heed" Holy Koran.S.14.52
